Electronics Testing

What you're looking at is about $80,000.00 worth of gear on our main electronics test bench.

We are proud of the capabilities of our lab, and use equipment from; Audio Precision, AudioGraph PowerCube, Bruel & Kjaer, Fluke, Hewlett-Packard, Leader, TEF, Tektronix, LinearX LMS and PCRta, Sorenson, Marconi Instruments, Hafler, Rane, and more.

Check out the custom made precision load bank controls, digital storage scope, Hafler studio reference amplifier and speakers, and out of sight is our huge 230V 3-phase powered 1200A DC power supply.

Also not shown in the above photo, is our radiometric thermal measurement equipment, and the full suite of loudspeaker measurement equipment and A/B comparators we also put to good use regularly.

This a photo of the business side of our 4 channel, 16,000 watt capable, remote controlled precision load bank. The resistors are non-inductive, and have a 1% tolerance. All signal connections are made with a minimum of 6 gauge oxygen free copper cable. All terminations are double crimped, and soldered. The actual load impedance of each channel is checked for shift and flatness regularly from 10Hz to 40kHz, to ensure accurate and repeatable measurements. Very few amplifiers can even get this baby warm!

ACOUSTICS LAB

On the loudspeaker side of things, our acoustics lab is set up to measure and evaluate any type of loudspeaker system, whether it's home or car based. The lab can make anechoic measurements down to 80Hz, and is equipped with an IEC style baffle, with quick change mounts. On the listening side, our car product based listening area uses an MTi switcher and interchangeable baffles so we can instantly compare up to 4 different pairs of speakers at a time.

The home/pro audio listening area is just around the corner to the right, in the top photo, and is also equipped with studio quality gear and switching capability.
